Limetus, pronounced “LIH-mi-tus,” is the God of the Elms. His name means, “He of the Elms,” and he is a psychopomp, capable of standing between the worlds. Limetus was worshiped primarily in Gaul. Elm trees are associated with our darker impulses. Because of this, Limetus can be a powerful ally in overcoming negative emotions and desires.

Wolves and coyotes are sacred to Limetus, as they assist him in his role as a conductor of souls to the Otherworld. Invoke Limetus when you need to purge yourself of unwanted thoughts and feelings. Should Limetus enter your life, consider whether you may be suppressing any feelings that need to be brought out in the open so that they may be dealt with.
